September 2014
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! We are honored to take on the role of PTO Co-Presidents and look forward to meeting and working with you. Our Donges Bay community is growing with the enrollment of over 40 new students as well as five fabulous additions to the staff. It is hard not to be excited for the start of a new year!
At registration, we had many new families ask why they should join the PTO. The Donges Bay PTO is successful because high percentage of family and staff participation. This, in turn, allows us to continue to support our school and students by funding field trips, technology, community service projects, teacher mini-grants, and much, much more. Whether you are an active volunteer or prefer to stay on the sidelines, just by joining the PTO, you are supporting our mission.
The PTO is also changing things up a bit this year. Our PTO meetings, which will still be held the second Tuesday of every month, will now alternate mornings and evenings in order give everyone an opportunity to attend. Attending a PTO meeting is an excellent way of learning about what is happening at Donges Bay and in the community. We have an amazing line-up speakers, so please see the PTO meeting schedule and mark your calendars!
If you haven’t heard about our Fall Campain, Donges Bay would like to raise $12,000 for new chromebooks for our school. Thank you to those families who already donated online and at registration. If you would like to know more about the fundraiser, please click the Fall Campaign link on our website.
Thanks again for the incredible support you give to the PTO. We couldn’t do it without you!
